Ringrose Park, Claresholm, 2023
Acrylic
12’x 100'

Doug and his team were invited to fill a long wall that borders a beautiful downtown park in the heart of Claresholm - a sweet prairie town in southern Alberta. The theme of bird species that make their homes in the region was adopted, and a montage of visuals capturing 3 distinct settings was illustrated: wheatland prairies, overlooked by a mountain bluebird nesting box - a habitat initiative supported by many farmers, a big Alberta sky central section with a magnificent red-tailed hawk, and a local swimming hole and a flock of beautiful swallows. The long, narrow park and this mural have proven to be a very popular stroll, and a place to sit and enjoy a visit with friends.
